ANDREW CAFÉ, a culinary lab ran and managed by students of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and mentored by a team of experts, introduces its newest addition to best-selling gourmet cakes: the Irresistible Cookie Dough Cheesecake. The rich and creamy cheesecake is complemented by a crisp cookie dough crust with baked chocolate morsels, topped with a blend of bittersweet coffee cream frosting. Freshly baked from scratch by student apprentices and guided by Resident Chefs Erna Canatoy and Timothy Robert Gonzalez, the Irresistible Cookie Dough Cheesecake combines the classic dessert favorites into one decadent masterpiece. Andrew Café is located at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Taft Campus, corner of Estrada and Leon Guinto Streets, Malate, Manila. It is open Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Buena Comida festival
EXPLORE THE bold flavors of Mexico in Buena Comida, a culinary event that will be held from Sept. 13–19 at the Corniche restaurant of Diamond Hotel Philippines. Enjoy the perfect balance of subtle spice and tangy taste of margarita granita with spicy shrimp, piquillo peppers stuffed with manchego, and huevos diablos. The Mexican buffet section offers authentic dishes such as deep-marinated chicken, beef fajitas stuffed with onions and peppers, slow-cooked pork in the form of pork carnitas and pork taquitos, and chicken quesadilla. The Shrimp Tequila, on the other hand, puts a twist in the sautéed dish. Pair it beef flautas dipped in smooth guacamole. A selection of Mexican desserts ends the meal: arroz con leche, flan napolitano with caramel, manzanas almendradas, and cinnamon churros in chocolate sauce. Metro Kitchen Series
METRO.STYLE launches its first-ever Metro Kitchen Series, inviting beginner cooks and foodies to the ultimate culinary experience, with its initial stop at the Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza on Sept. 15 at 3 p.m. The Metro Kitchen Series explores the Spanish influence on Filipino cuisine in its first leg showcasing two culinary stars, chefs Sandy Daza and Robby Goco, who will demonstrate their interpretations of the Filipino-Spanish theme of the program. Mr. Daza is the owner of Casa Daza and Wooden Spoon restaurants, while Mr. Goco is the brains behind the farm-to-table concept Green Pastures, as well as the managing partner and director for research and development of the Cyma Greek Taverna and Souv by Cyma. Aside from learning great recipes from these renowned chefs, attendees will also get a chance to taste mouth-watering food cooked-on-the-spot and enjoy the onsite raffle.

RESTAURANT at The Farm recently launched its new food menu: salads in jars, fermented vegetables, local vegetable salad, more varieties of soups, a Mediterranean section, and newly conceptualized raw and cooked mains. The restaurant’s three-course vegan menu is included in the “Day at The Farm” package offered at a special rate of P5,000 nett per person, which includes a choice of a health consultation, a massage, or lymphatic therapy; as well as complimentary participation in scheduled daily activities like yoga sessions, functional fitness, and living foods prep class.
