BAGUIO CITY — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Cordillera said it has distributed 93,000 of 97,000 hectares of target lands under the government’s Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). 

In a statement, DAR Cordillera Regional Director Samuel Solomero noted that of the 97,000 hectares that were programed, about 93,000 were already distributed by their office. 

The New Agrarian Emancipation bill, signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. in July, condones all loans including interests, penalties and surcharges incurred by agrarian reform beneficiaries from land awarded to them by law. — Artemio A. Dumlao
