THE BANGSAMORO Transition Commission (BTC) called on stakeholders, through public and private organizations or as communities, to submit a manifesto on the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), which will be collated and presented to President Rodrigo R. Duterte (PRRD) during the Bangsamoro Assembly on Nov. 27 in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao. “A unified manifesto will be read to PRRD on Nov 27.,” the BTC said in a statement. BTC Chairman Ghazali B. Jaafar, in a statement on the convening of the assembly, said, “We are encouraging the Bangsamoros, indigenous peoples and Christian settlers to attend this historic event that would mark our common aspiration to have genuine peace in our homeland.” The BTC, created through an executive order in 2012, is tasked to draft the BBL and undertake coordination activities for its passage in Congress. — Mindanao Bureau
