The Philippine Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) is looking into alleged multi-billion peso anomalies committed by several government agencies under the previous administration, according to PACC Commissioner Manuelito R. Luna.
“We are looking into several agencies because we were given information that they’ve committed graft and corruption on a very large scale,” said PACC Commissioner Manuelito R. Luna, speaking in Filipino.
“Right now, upon the instructions of the commission proper, (we) are looking into one agency, merong naganap na multibillion peso anomaly (where the multi-billion peso anomaly originated from.)”
“Ito ay ilalantad namin (We will reveal this) in the coming days,” he said.
When asked if former president Benigno C. Aquino III was involved, Mr. Luna said, “We’re not saying he’s involved because we’re still looking at the facts and evidence.” — Dane Angelo Enerio
