EXTREMELY POPULAR with the critics on the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, which gave the film a very high score of 98%, the second film in the Lego franchise follows Batman, who finds that in order to save Gotham City from the Joker, he may have to drop the lone vigilante schtik, work with others, and maybe even lighten up. Directed by Chris McKay, the film features the voices of Michael Cera, Will Arnett, and Zach Galifianakis. Variety’s Owen Gleiberman writes: “Your average Pixar comedy thumbs its nose at a great many things, but The Lego Batman Movie is a helter-skelter lampoon in the daftly exhilarating spirit of Mad magazine and the Naked Gun films.”

QUITE POPULAR with the critics on review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes which gave the film a score of 71%, Master is about an intellectual crime investigation team that goes after a corporation that is involved in a massive fraud case. Directed by Ui-seok, it stars Byung-hun Lee, Dong-won Gang, and Woo-bin Kim Jo. Brian Tallerico of RogerEbert.com writes: “The performances are solid to great throughout, and Cho does build to a remarkably satisfying final 20 minutes, but it takes two hours to get there.”

ALMOST AS POPULAR with the critics as the first movie, this film gets a high score of 95% from the Rotten Tomatoes review aggregate site, whose Critics Consensus reads: “John Wick: Chapter 2 does what a sequel should — which in this case means doubling down on the nonstop, thrillingly choreographed action that made its predecessor so much fun.” In this sequel, hitman John Wick is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Directed by Chad Stahelski, the film Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, John Leguizamo, and Ian McShane.
