WOMEN OFFICERS of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) check out the 70 new Tavor Sub Machine Gun 9mm presented on Monday at the PCG National Headquarters in Port Area, Manila. The Israeli-made weapons, delivered last week, will be utilized by PCG’s elite force in combating piracy and terrorism at sea. The PCG is set to acquire P1-billion worth of weaponry this year as provided in the national budget, including 9 mm pistol for all personnel, assault and sniper rifles for the Special Operations Force, machine guns for small boat operations, and heavy machine guns with automatic gyro stabilizer for PCG vessels.
