Mitsubishi appoints new head of PHL operation

MITSUBISHI Motors Corp. (MMC), parent company of Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC), in a statement announced the appointment of Mutsuhiro Oshikiri as president and CEO of MMPC.
Mr. Oshikiri will replace Yoshiaki Kato beginning August 1. A turnover program to mark the occasion is scheduled on July 27.
MMPC’s incoming chief comes from Mitsubishi Motors’ outfit in Australia, which he led for five years. For his part, Mr. Kato will move to Mitsubishi Motors Australia to serve as chief executive coordinator, and will “work alongside” John Signoriello, who will assume the position vacated by Mr. Oshikiri.
MMC chief executive officer Osamu Masuko said: “We are strengthening and diversifying our management team around the world, ensuring that we seize future growth opportunities in important markets such as the Philippines and Australia. I look forward to continuing to work with Mssrs. Oshikiri, Signoriello and Kato in their new roles.”
PHL Hyundai distributor gets global awards
PHILIPPINE distributor Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) announced it received the Excellent Customer Service Achievement award from Hyundai Motor Co. during the recent Global Customer Service Innovation Seminar held in Seoul, Korea.
HARI said it bested 47 countries in the summit, and that it was also given the Service Excellence Award for Best Service Cooperation in recognition of its after-sales programs.
