ULTIMATE Fighting Championship events can now be seen on video-streaming service FOX+ here in the Philippines after the UFC and FOX Networks Group Asia signed a multi-year media rights deal recently.
In a release late last week shared to members of media, the two groups officially announced their latest link-up that will see all of the UFC’s 42 live events in 2019, including its prestigious Pay-Per-View (PPV) events and original programming, on FOX+.
“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with our long-standing partner, FOX Networks Group Asia,” said UFC Vice-President APAC, Kevin Chang, in a statement.
“This agreement allows us to continue serving our passionate fans in the Philippines with the premier mixed martial arts programming in the world. The popularity of MMA continues to grow across Asia with UFC’s fan base in the Philippines increasing at an exponential rate. UFC social media accounts have also experienced tremendous growth over the past five years. With Facebook fans growing +107% and YouTube subscribers increasing by +1200%, these massive surges in consumer engagement illustrate the strength in UFC’s brand and the opportunity for further growth in the market,” he added. — MASM
