Suyen partners with Atome buy now pay later

SUYEN Corp. has partnered with Atome, Asia’s leading buy-now-pay-later brand, to offer flexible zero-interest payment options across its 20-plus retail brands operating in the Philippines, it announced in a press statement. Overall, the retail company’s partnership with Atome covers 600-plus physical retail outlets of Suyen’s key brands throughout the country and all their online platforms. Its brands include Bench, Human, and Kashieca. It also operates franchise businesses for many international brands, such as Cotton On, Aldo, Charles &Keith, Jo Malone, Mothercare, American Eagle, and La Senza. Shoppers at all physical stores under Suyen can now shop and check out with Atome’s deferred payment schedule at zero interest. To pay, users download Atome’s app and register an account, before selecting Atome as the checkout payment option. “The big lesson from COVID-19 is how to be available wherever our customers were shopping — whether online during COVID, or in brick-and-mortar retail stores — which is what we’re seeing now with the return of physical shopping. More than ever, it’s also important we continue to make our brands affordable and accessible to our Filipino customers, which is where our partnership with Atome across 600+ stores as well as our online websites allow us to offer ‘buy now pay later’ digital payment options for those who prefer payment choice, convenience and flexibility, whether in an online or offline setting,” Bryan Lim, Vice-President for Business Development, Suyen Corp., was quoted as saying. “It’s been proven time and again that integrating Atome’s checkout option will grow sales, basket size as well as attract new customer segments, especially Gen Zs and millennials. Through this partnership, we’re also glad to play our part in powering the retail sector’s economic recovery in the Philippines, post COVID-19,” said Zine Nedil, General Manager, Atome Philippines. Atome launched in the Philippines in October 2021. It has expanded its merchant network to include more than 1,500 online and offline stores in the Philippines, and soft-launched the Atome Card, which attracted 120,000 registrations within weeks. The Atome Philippines mobile app is available on the App Store and on Google Play.

Coach’s Tabby reimagined

COACH has unveiled “In My Tabby,” a campaign featuring the brand’s Tabby bag. The campaign features the personal narratives of performers Lil Nas X, Camila Mendes, Kōki, and Wu JinYan. At the center is the Coach Tabby, a modern icon the house has reimagined for the next generation’s spirit of individualism, fluidity, and self-expression. Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers reimagined archival bag from the 1970s, and featuring Coach’s Signature hardware, for a new generation. Explored in recent years in a multitude of aesthetic iterations, the Tabby has also garnered cultural resonance through TikTok, where it gained a cult following. Coach will also bring “In My Tabby” to life around the world with experiences inspired by the campaign’s message, including a series of colorful pop-ups and activations where customers can explore and discover the Coach Tabby bag that best fits their personality and style, and a metaverse experience created for Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week this month where users go inside a Coach Tabby bag and discover a world where they can interact with digital artists and collect Coach Tabby wearables designed in collaboration with AR fashion platform Zero10. Max Mara channels the Riviera for Spring-Summer 2023

INSPIRED by the Riviera style of self-portraitist Renée Perle —  the muse and lover of photographer Jacques-Henri Lartigue, featured in his most memorable pictures. Her archetypal looks are the backbone of Max Mara’s collection for Spring-Summer 2023; backless tanks, voluminous canvas sailor pants, floppy wide-brimmed sun hats, and long, languid skirts which hug the hip then slide into pools of godets. Also inspiring the collection is architect Eileen Gray who built E1027, a seaside villa for herself and her lover, showcasing her uniquely feminine take on modernism. Challenging the rigid rectilinearity of the masculine masters, Gray’s floorplan incorporates the occasional curve. Max Mara follows suit with sinuous bias cutting and a new femininity also manifests itself in extravagant organza bows printed with flowers in Perlesque “art vernaculaire” style. Max Mara presents a series of total looks in lino greggio  unprocessed, undyed linen that looks like burlap, sometimes with raw fringed hems. And Max Mara’s classic architectonic coats take on the soft allure of sun-bleached beach robes. Gray’s “architecture for inner life” features accents in a particular shade of inky Mediterranean blue; Max Mara presents its take on washed cotton drill bleu de travail in the same evocative color.
