Pinoy Playlist 2019

THE BGC Arts Center, with the Sun Life Foundation, brings the second Pinoy Playlist Music Festival (PPMF) at the BGC Arts Center in Taguig City until Oct. 20. The music festival is curated by National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab, Moy Ortiz, and Noel Ferrer. TANGHALANG Pilipino stages a Hiligaynon adaptation of John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men titled Katsuri (Visayan “mouse”) until Oct. 27 at the Studio Theater of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The play is set in present day Negros and presents the plight of sugarcane farmers. An adaptation written by Bibeth Orteza and directed by Carlos Siguion-Reyna, the play stars Jonathan Tadioan and Marco Viaña, accompanied by the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company.
