A “BOUNCY” EXPERIENCE awaits guests to the latest family entertainment attraction to hit the metro.

Jump Yard, the first and biggest indoor trampoline park in the Philippines, is now open to dish out its one-of-a-kind, high-flying experience.
Located at the Frontera Verde Complex, Ortigas Avenue corner C5, Pasig City (beside Fun Ranch), Jump Yard is a facility that boasts of 2,000 square meters of jumping space to satisfy the “jumper” in those who want to try it.
“The inspiration for bringing a trampoline park here was that one of the daughters of the owners is a cheerleader,” said Ana May Del Rosario, Jump Yard marketing manager, in an interview as she described how the whole concept for the jumping facility came about.
“So they saw the concept from abroad and they realized there is no facility like it here. And they decided to put this up to cater to people who want to do such an activity like their daughter and have fun,” she added.
Ms. Del Rosario said that as their group went about setting up Jump Yard, they made sure it was well-thought-out and in line with their desire to bring something new to the public.
“Yes, we did some research about it as we went along putting this up. Of course, we knew there was nothing like it and that was the deciding factor, really. We also put premium on the safety of our guests because we have been in the family entertainment business for an X amount of years and we want to uphold our good standing. Our suppliers showed us that the trampolines here are different from the ordinary ones and we knew that we were getting something safe and not compromise our group’s name,” she said.
The group behind Jump Yard is also the one that gave rise to Fun Ranch, a children’s complex and party place.
OFFERINGS
While at Jump Yard, guests can try out the various offerings in it that include Dodge Ball, Cage Ball and Slam Dunk Basketball areas. It also features a Foam pit, Balance Beam and Monkey Bars.
Well-trained marshals are on tap to assist guests and ensure safety.
The facility is open from noon to 9 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and noon to 10 p.m. on Fridays. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays it is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Jump Yard rates are pegged at P250 from Monday to Thursday, except holidays, and P350 from Friday to Sunday, including holidays.

Because of the risks involved in using a trampoline, jumpers have to fulfill some pre-jumping requirements, including registration and signing of waivers as well as watching a safety video detailing the do’s and don’ts to guide them through the activity.
Guests are also required to use special trampoline socks that can be purchased at the facility for P100.
Jump Yard also has a restaurant — with a viewing deck — for guests to have a meal and rest. The restaurant can also be used for special events like birthday parties, get-together and team-building activities.
POTENTIAL
The reception for Jump Yard has been positive since it opened on Jan. 30, Ms. Del Rosario said.
“We have been swamped with guests in the three weeks that we have been opened. It’s really more than what we expected at such an early stage,” she said.
Ms. Del Rosario added that they are upbeat about Jump Yard’s potential as a family entertainment place.
“Definitely there is potential for this. The family entertainment business in the country is steadily growing. This facility not only is anchored on fun and entertainment but there is also a healthy component to it as we want kids, teens and even adults to be more active and not just be confined to their gadgets and live sedentary lifestyles,” she said.
Jump Yard’s guests are interested in the exercise component it seems.
“I am very excited and we’ve been waiting for it since we learned something like this would open here,” said 16-year-old student Nathan Basano, who was with his friends as they checked out Jump Yard. “I’m excited about the basketball rings because I always wanted to dunk. I think this is a unique experience than the other activities available for us. There is more physicality involved here. People would have fun regardless of their age.”
