Health and Wellness Fair
ABS–CBN Lingkod Kapamilya and its social enterprise arm G Stuff will hold the first “Health and Wellness Fair,” a gathering of providers of organic produce and holistic wellness activities, on Oct. 2 to 4 at the Rockwell Tent in Makati City. The three-day event will feature booths and mini-sessions on health and wellness, spearheaded by some of the country’s experts in their fields. For the entrance fee of P200, guests can participate in programs such as “Organic Vegetable Farming in Your Own Backyard” by Gil Carandang, “Overcoming Cancer” by Bettina Osmeña and “Eating the Right Food to Cure Your Illnesses” by Dr. Albert Jo. They can also shop for fresh produce from the Department of Agriculture. Visitors can also reserve a seat to dinners and a brunch prepared by some of the country’s top chefs. Painting workshop
Yuchengco Museum presents Shui Mo: Chinese Painting Workshop (Intermediate) on Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28, Dec. 5 and 12. This workshop is open to participants 15 years old and above. Pet blessing at Robinsons
Robinsons Place Las Piñas will hold a fun filled and informational event in celebration of international World Animal Day (also the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi) on Oct. 4 at the Grand Atrium. Events will include a pet blessing, a pets in costume parade, a poster making contest, and a variety of games for pets and pet owners. There will also be talks tackling truths and myths on rabies, understanding cat and dog behaviors, helping pets and the environment, and achieving a sustainable life with pets. Pet blessing at Eastwood
Eastwood City will hold its 10th Annual Pet Blessing in celebration of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. It will be held at the Eastwood Mall Open Park on Oct. 4, 4 p.m. Pet owners can bring their pets and register at the registration booths located around Eastwood Mall and the mall’s Open Park. Registration starts at 10 a.m. and is free of charge. Pet owners just need to bring their pet’s latest vaccination papers to secure a pet pass and register for the blessing. Those who do not have their pet’s updated vaccination documents can get a free vaccination for their pets at the venue. Aside from the Holy Mass, which will be followed by the blessing of the animals, there will also be a variety show where pet owners and their pets can take part in games and activities. There will be a Pet Styling Demo, a talk on how to handle active dogs and proper dog training, and special awards for the Early Bird (the first pet to register), Best Dressed (the most fashionable), Head Turner (the most unique), Life of the Party (the most active and compelling) and Star of the Night (the most adorable). Coca-Cola exhibit
The exhibit The Coca-Cola Bottle Art Tour: Inspiring Pop Culture for 100 Years honors the legacy of the iconic Coca-Cola bottle through an array of historical artifacts and artwork by world-renowned artists such as Andy Warhol and Norman Rockwell. Cultural Center of the Philippines exhibit

The Normal Heart
Actor’s Actors, Inc. and The Necessary Theatre present The Normal Heart, the 2011 Tony Award Winner for Best Revival of a Play about the early days of the HIV-AIDS crisis in New York City. The play will run from Oct. 2 to 11, at the Carlos P. Romulo auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City. Multimedia dance piece
A presentation of the Goethe-Institut Philippinen, ECHO: It’s Just A Temporary Thing, a critically acclaimed multimedia dance piece that exposes the deep intercultural connection and successful fusion of different dance traditions, will have performances on Oct. 2 and 3, 8 p.m., at PETA Theater Center, No. 5 Eymard Drive, New Manila, Quezon City. The performance is conceptualized and choreographed by Riki Von Falken, a renowned choreographer from Berlin, Germany together with Naim Syarahzad, a student and a member of the ASWARA dance company from Malaysia. Puccini’s Tosca
Giacomo Puccini’s opera Tosca will be presented at the Main Theater of the Cultural Center of the Philippines on Oct. 2 and 4 at 8 p.m. Directed by Floy Quintos, it stars Yae-Jin Han as Tosca, tenor Ji-ho Kim as Cavaradossi, and baritone Daesan No as Baron Scarpia. It also features tenor Lemuel de la Cruz, Noel Azcona, and Byeong-In Park as Angelotti. They will be accompanied by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Jae-Joon Lee, and the UST Coro Tomasino under the direction of Ronan Ferrer and Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir under the direction of Maria Teresa Roldan. Romeo & Juliet ballet

Rep’s Snow White
Repertory Philippines presents Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, a staging of Michael Valenti and Elsa Rael’s adaptation of the classic fairy tale.
