The 2023 Chrysler 300C is the last of its line
AFTER A RUN spanning almost seven decades, the Chrysler is retiring its 300 nameplate with the release of the 2023 300C. The vehicle is motivated by a powerful 6.4-liter Hemi engine generating 485hp and 644Nm mated with a TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission that optimizes fuel economy while offering maximum performance with 160-millisecond shifts. Only 2,000 examples of the model will be made for US distribution and another 200 for Canada.
Chrysler 300 production will cease following this model year’s run.
First introduced in 1995 and “reborn” in 2005, the 300 is said to have “represented iconic American luxury and performance for decades.”
Said Chrysler Brand Chief Executive Officer Chris Feuell in a release, “We’re celebrating the Chrysler 300 and its iconic legacy in the automotive world. The Chrysler 300 changed the automotive world in so many ways, and we will carry that spirit of ingenuity forward as we transform Chrysler with a fully electrified future and breakthrough customer experiences.”
The Chrysler 300C is expected to reach 60mph in 4.3 seconds, and features red four-piston Brembo brakes, a 3.09 limited slip differential, active damping suspension, active exhaust system and black rounded exhaust tips. A new version of the tri-color 300C badge on grille and rear decklid heralds the unique personality of the limited-production model.
It has black Laguna leather front seats sport embossed with the 300C logo, and gets silver stitching accents. The cabin sports carbon-fiber touches, and the Uconnect infotainment system is platformed on an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay comes standard, and everything is connected to a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Comfort features include a heated steering wheel, and heated and ventilated front seats.
It comes with a suite of safety features like advanced brake assist, Lane Departure Warning Plus, Full Speed Collision Warning Plus, and more. The 300C rides on 20 x 9-inch forged wheels with all-season performance tires. The exterior carries black chrome accents on the grille and lower fascia, plus black headlamp and taillamp bezels. Three exterior colors are available for the 300C: Gloss Black, Velvet Red and Bright White.
Per Auto Nation Group, there’s no word from Stellantis yet if the model will be sold outside the US and reach the Philippine market.
