DAILY minimum wage earners in the region have started earning additional P26 a day since Friday last week as part of the approved adjustment in minimum wage in August last year. The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) said the new adjustment raised the daily minimum wage by P56 in line with Wage Order Number 20. The increase is in two tranches, with P30 in effect in August last year and the P26 effective as of Feb. 16. Workers in non-agricultural and other sectors with more than 10 of them in a company are now to be paid P396 daily. Those in agriculture are to receive P391 a day, and those in other sectors with less than 10 workers, P381 a day. — Carmelito Q. Francisco
