THE CEBU Provincial Development Council (PDC) has approved and endorsed P57.771 billion worth of projects for 2020 to the Regional Development Council. The projects, taken from proposals submitted by the regional offices of national government agencies and state academic institutions, are mainly for infrastructure under the Department of Public Works and Highways, with an allocation of P45.3 billion. The Department of Social Welfare and Development has a proposed P6.4 billion for various programs, the Department of Health with P5 billion, and the Cebu Normal University with P12 million. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has P349 million, while P402 million is budgeted for economic development projects. The endorsed projects are subject to the RDC’s assessment and approval, and will then be forwarded to the national government.
