SEVERAL FIRMS based in Makati City, including a company engaged in building power plants, were sued for tax evasion by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). Mirae Asia Energy Corp. and its officials Christopher Walter Lim, Craig Oliver Marsh and Sung Woo Yang also allegedly faked the firm’s importer’s clearance certificate, the BIR said.
