UNITED STATES President Donald J. Trump will be attending two major summits next month — the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation in Vietnam and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Manila — but will be skipping the East Asia Summit in Clark Field, Pampanga. This was confirmed yesterday by Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano, who said that he had been informed in his recent visit to the US for the United Nations General Assembly that Mr. Trump could only stay for the Nov. 12-13 ASEAN Summit.
