EAST ZONE water concessionaire Manila Water Co., Inc. has launched a web-based customer application where customers can access their water bills in their homes and offices.
Manila Water Corporate Strategic Affairs Group Head Nestor Jeric T. Sevilla Jr. said the “My Manila Water App” (MMWA) lets seven million customers inquire about their outstanding balances, check their current billings, and pay their bills without risking their safety, amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
“We fully recognize the need for mobile applications that our customers can use to minimize travel and exposure to the COVID-19 in physical payment centers. Through this app, our customers can also lodge directly their concerns, requests and queries,” he said.
The new web-based application can also be used by commercial and industrial customers.
According to Mr. Sevilla, the company plans to release a downloadable version of the application in the coming months, with more features and expanded services.
“We will continue to add more features in the application and expand it to include service advisories and interruptions; news and updates; traffic advisories, checking and tracking the locations of any of our ongoing activities such as pipe laying, emergency repairs, maintenance activities, among others,” he said.
