Malacañang suspended work in the executive department and classes in all levels at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, as recommended by the National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (NDRRMC).
“Pursuant to the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (NDRRMC) and expected inclement weather, the Executive Secretary has issued Memorandum Circular (MC) 46 suspending work in the executive department and classes in all levels starting 3pm today (June 11),” the office of Executive SecretarySalvador C. Medialdea said in a statement on Monday afternoon.
Agencies of the government involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness, and other vital services shall continue with their operations, the executive secretary also said.
“We leave the suspension of work for private companies and offices to the sound discretion of their companies/employers,” the office also said. — Arjay L. Balinbin
