TWG’S Night of Noel tea set

HERALDING the Christmas season, TWG Tea has come up with a limited-edition Night of Noel Tea Set just in time for the season of holiday gifting. Encased in a gift box embellished with delicate gold embossing and elegant ruby red sleeve, this set features a duo of Night of Noel Tea and It’s So Good Tea. Packaged in a tin adorned with festive imagery of snowy sleigh rides, the Night of Noel Tea is a black tea blended with wild forest berries, caramel, and enlivened by a scattering of nutty silver needles. Meanwhile, It’s So Good Tea is a malty black tea blended with tart blossoms and berries. The Night of Noel Tea Set (100g of tea per tea tin) is available at all TWG Tea Salons & Boutiques in the Philippines and retails at P3,595. Meanwhile, TWG Tea has also come up with a Festive Set Menu featuring soup of the day, steak moussaka with Noel! Noel! Tea-infused cranberry sauce, a Red Christmas Tea-infused mocktail topped with chocolate whipped cream, and a slice of the Entremet Fruit Chocolat — a creamy strawberry mousse infused with Magic Christmas Tea, with a hint of dark chocolate peppermint and a tangy orange confit. The full Festive Set Menu is priced at P1,545 for a starter, main course, tea or mocktail, and dessert. Holidays at The Pen

THIS SEASON, 10 Peninsula hotels, including The Peninsula Manila, celebrates under the theme, “Stories from the Tree.” Six colorful character ornaments — including the Nutcracker, the guardian and host of the tree — adorn decorations at each hotel. Hotel guests and visitors can purchase these ornaments, with a portion of the funds being donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation Philippines. In support of children’s literacy, The Peninsula Hotels has also produced a digital storybook, entitled The Nutcracker’s Adventure, which will be available to download from the Pen’s web page. For this year’s Santa’s Workshop, The Pen partners with The Center for Art, New Ventures & Sustainable Development (CANVAS). This Festive Peninsula Academy program will include a gingerbread decorating class, lessons in creating Christmas journals for children as well as a storytelling activity. CANVAS Publishing will also offer young adult titles where every CANVAS book purchased guarantees that two other children in marginalized communities will receive their own copy of the book. The program will be held on Dec. 2 at the Garcia Villa and Balagtas rooms, with the first session from 9-11 a.m., and the second from 2-4 p.m. Price is P2,450 for one child under 12 and one adult, and P1,200 for each additional companion. Part of the proceeds raised will benefit the Virlanie Foundation. Meanwhile, there will be Christmas Afternoon Tea at The Lobby from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. daily. Choose from selected premium teas blended by The Peninsula’s tea masters complimented with scones, quiches, tea sandwiches and assorted pastries. The Festive Afternoon Tea is P1,400 per set and P1,900 with a glass of Champagne.
