Hiraya Gallery presents Divertimento by Hans Brumann, a solo exhibit of his recent sculptures, until Dec. 15 at the Mezzanine Hall, Makati Shangri-La Manila.

West Gallery opens four exhibitions on Dec. 3: Lynrd Paras’ Exit Wounds, Lec Cruz’s The Sun Sets in the West, Don Djerassi Dalmacio’s Hi Hello, and Jeff Tan’s Slipping Into The Unknown. Exhibits run until Dec. 31.

Blackwater Open Blue by Scott “Gutsy” Tuason, a book launch and fine photography exhibition, opens on Dec. 3, 6 p.m., at the Pineapple Lab Arts and Performance Hub in Brgy. Poblacion, Makati City.

The Ateneo Art Awards (AAA) 2016 Exhibition ends on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. The works of the winners of the Fernando Zobel Prizes for Visual Art — Martha Atienza, Rocky Cajigan and Nathalie Dagmang — plus those of the short-listed artists are on view, along with the essay of the winners of the Purita Kalaw-Ledesma Prizes for Art Criticism, Pristine de Leon and Dominic Zinampan.

BALLET MANILA’s Cinderella

The Attic Gallery and Philarts showcase Prelude, an art exhibit featuring artists such as Roy Espinosa, Art Zamora, Rene V. Canlas, Bonnie Jimenez, Maryrose Gisbert, Oying Madrilejos, and Khristina Manansala, at the Lobby of Edsa Shangri-La Hotel.

ArtInformal has four ongoing exhibitions: Invisible Gardens by Yasmin Sison, Lost Highway by Mariano Ching, Untitled by Christina Quisumbing Ramilo, and a group show Interstitium by Titat Naval Ledesma, Carlos Sevilla, and Iori Espiritu. They are on view until Dec. 17.

Ateneo Art Gallery presents #LUZ@90, curated by Ambeth R. Ocampo, which runs until April 8. Featuring recent and early works, the exhibition celebrates the 90th birth anniversary of Arturo R. Luz, National Artist for Visual Arts.

The Cultural Center of the Philippines celebrates the birth month of National Artist Carlos “Botong” Francisco via the exhibit Homebound: A Survey of Recent Developments in Angono Contemporary Art which is on view until Feb. 12.

The Metropolitan Museum of Manila presents three exhibits, collectively called FORTY, in celebration of its 40th anniversary. The MET Collection and New Acquisitions and The MET Archives are on view until Jan. 8, while The MET and the BSP Print Collections runs until Jan. 13. Along with the three exhibits, The MET is displaying Ronald Ventura’s iconic two-piece carousel at the museum lobby. The Metropolitan Museum of Manila is located at the Bangko Sentral Compound, Roxas Blvd., Malate, Manila.

Organized in cooperation with Art Cube, the BenCab Museum in Baguio presents DisneyTopia by Guerrero Z. Habulan, an exhibit that interrogates the acceptance of the “cultural properties” of the West. Museum visitors can also view Old Master Prints at the Print Gallery, featuring 16th to 18th century etchings and engravings by Rembrandt, Goya, Dürer, et al. Both exhibitions are on view until Dec. 4.

PERFORMANCES

Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko, Ballet Philippines’ dance musical in partnership with ABS-CBN and the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, will be staged at the CCP Main Theater (Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo) on Dec. 2 and 9 at 8 p.m.; Dec. 3 at 6 p.m.; and Dec. 4, 10 and 11 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Ticket prices range from P500 to P3500, with discounts for students, senior citizens, and government employees.

PETA, in partnership with the Japan Foundation, the British Council, and UK-based Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, presents The Tempest Reimagined, a story that injects supertyphoon Yolanda’s real-life drama into Shakespeare’s play.
