MAINTENANCE crew of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) repaint road lane markings as part of the preparations for Iloilo City’s Dinagyang Festival, which will have its highlight events on Jan. 25-27. Meanwhile the local government’s General Services Office (GSO) has appealed to the public to help maintain the cleanliness of Iloilo City during the festivities as they prepare to manage tons of wastes that are expected to be generated. Last year, the GSO collected as much as 50 tons of garbage during the initial collection round a day after the Dinagyang Festival.
