A MAGNITUDE 3.4 earthquake, with intensity 4 felt in the mountain city of Baguio, was recorded at 8:42 in the morning yesterday. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, in its earthquake monitoring bulletin, said there were no immediate reports of damages and no aftershocks were expected. The Office of Civil Defense (OCD), however, issued an advisory calling on residents to remain alert. Baguio, a popular tourist destination, was one of the most devastated areas during the 7.7 earthquake that struck Luzon on July 16, 1990.
