PBA launches mobile arcade basketball game

CANDON CITY — From the hardcourt, Asia’s first play-for-pay league makes its foray in the digital arena via PBA Court Kings, its official mobile arcade basketball game.
Designed for casual and competitive players, PBA Court Kings features authentic PBA teams and their players, logos, jerseys and courts that “brings the real spirit of Philippine professional basketball into an exciting, fast-paced gaming experience.”
The game was launched on Sunday before the Season 50 All-Star festivities in the “City of Love and Care” came to a close.
Stars June Mar Fajardo, Calvin Oftana, Calvin Abueva, Robert Bolick and Santi Santillan, who are gamers themselves, joined Commissioner Willie Marcial, Vice-Chairman Alfrancis Chua, and Dark League Studios Chief Executive Officer AC Valdenor in unveiling the new game, which was developed by AniLu Studios.
Also in attendance were Team Governors Robert Non, Archen Cayabyab, Raymond Zorrilla and Jason Webb and Magnolia consultant Eric Arejola.
Featuring the likenesses of the league’s top players, the game allows its users to compete in thrilling 1-on-1, 2-on-2 and 3×3 matchups available in single player or multiplayer modes.
The players are thrilled for the PBA Court Kings, which was made available on iOS and Android on Sunday, coinciding with the North-versus-South ASG at the Candon City Arena. — Olmin Leyba
