JUST how good Gerald Anderson is?
You might think that he’s just your typical celebrity baller relishing the moment of fulfilling his dream of playing in the big league, but the popular movie and television personality is one among the top players in the MPBL Datu Cup.
Better believe it, Anderson is one of the best two-way players in the league.
Anderson has been averaging close to two steals per game and is in the top eight in that department.
Offensively, his numbers has also picked up.
Twice in the last five games of the Marikina Shoemasters, Anderson has scored in double figures and averaged close to seven points per game.
It won’t be surprising if we see Anderson participating in the coming MPBL All-Star Game to be held next month.
I would love to see Gerald competing in any of the events lined up for the All-Star Game — the 2-Ball Competition, the Shooting Stars teaming up in the 3-Point Challenge, or the regular game between the North and the South.
He deserves to compete in anyone of the events. After all, Gerald is probably the most marketable player in the MPBL today.
Seeing Gerald playing in the MPBL All-Star Game would be another achievement for the celebrity who was dreaming of being a full-time baller even before he invaded the entertainment world. In an event where a collection of talent is competing, to be lined up among them would definitely be another feather to his cap.
As for the fans, there’s no better way than seeing another shining star to complete the All-Star line up.
