PRESIDENT RODRIGO R. Duterte left the country on Monday afternoon to attend the 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Singapore, according to Malacañang. The summit will be held today until Thursday at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore. In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson & Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador S. Panelo said, “The ASEAN leaders will also hold summits with leaders from dialogue partners in the format of the Plus One Summit. Dialogue partners include leaders of Australia, China, Republic of Korea, Russia, and Japan on November 14. They will then hold the Second Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Summit to discuss the progress in the negotiations (on the RCEP).” The President and his fellow ASEAN leaders, Mr. Panelo said, will meet with leaders of India and the United States on the third day. “After which they will attend the ASEAN Plus Three Summit.
