THIS IS the latest in the Death Note series based on the popular manga in which a mysterious notebook contains deadly powers. Directed by Shinsuke Sato, it stars Ken’ichi Matsuyama, Sosuke Ikematsu, and Tatsuya Fujiwara. Edmund Lee of the South China Morning Post says it is “a thrilling but sometimes illogical piece of pulp entertainment that is crafted with impressive style.”
