Select Chevrolets get low payment plans
THE Chevrolet Colorado, Trailblazer, Trax, Sail, and Spark can now be bought through low down payment plans or at discounted prices, the brand’s distributor in the Philippines said. The special financing schemes are available until Sept. 30.
The Colorado 4×2 LT AT is sold via a down payment of P108,000, or a cash discount of P40,000, while the Colorado 4×2 LTX AT is offered at a P148,000 down payment or with a P30,000 discount.
The Trailblazer can be bought for either a P78,000 or a P138,000 down payment, the former offered on the 4×2 LT AT variant and the latter on the 4×2 LTX AT. Discounts available for both variants, in lieu of the low down payments, are P100,000 and P60,000, respectively.
Low down payment plans offered on the Trax are P38,000 for the LS AT and P108,000 for the LT AT (both variants get a cash discount of P50,000 if the low initial payment is not availed).
For the Sail 1.3L LT MT and 1.5L AT low down payment plans that can be availed are P8,000 and P68,000, respectively, or a discount of P50,000. The Spark 1.4L LT MT and 1.4L LT CVT are offered the same amounts for the low down payment plans, as well as a P30,000 discount if the low initial outlay plans are waived.
The special rates include comprehensive insurance coverage for a year, registration for three years and chattel mortgage fees.
Hyundai PHL tops brand’s skills competition
PHILIPPINE distributor Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) said it recently hosted the brand’s first World Skill Olympics for commercial vehicle distributors in Asia Pacific, in which Gary Junio and Mark Eric Rellosa of the Philippines topped the competition.
Following them were Thiha Saw and Aye Chan Aung of Myanmar, and Vu Dình Cong and Le Hong Ninh of Vietnam.
The event was held at the Hyundai Logistics Center in Calamba, Laguna.
HARI said the top 12 service technicians from the Philippines, Vietnam and Myanmar competed for the chance to represent Asia Pacific at Hyundai’s First Technical Truck and Bus World Skills Olympics that will take place in South Korea in October.
It added the competition consisted of a written exam on technical concepts and a set of practical challenges.
Harley-Davidson joins History Con
HARLEY-DAVIDSON (H-D) of Manila announced it marked the 115th anniversary of the American brand by joining the History Channel’s recent staging of History Con in the Philippines.
The company said it displayed during the event the Harley-Davidson Softail Fatbob and Softail Sport Glide. It added some show visitors were also able to kick-start a Harley-Davidson Street 500, as well as test-ride the models, including the Sportster Forty-Eight.
