SITEL 2 and RJS Construction booked a semifinals seat in the LGR Hoops Season 4 with similar hard-fought wins over their respective rivals at the Cloverleaf Gym.
With a semifinals berth on the line, RJS Construction upstaged Fire Chief, 81-73, to book a seat in the Final Four of the 38-and-above division.
Leading the way for RJS Construction was Ellard Cortez, who posted a double-double performance of 15 points and 12 rebounds in leading RJS Construction to advance to the next round of this event sponsored by Bugsy’s, Rain or Shine, Petron, Titan, NBA Store, Gatorade, BTV, Gold’s Gym, Zark’s Burger, Kartilya, SYF and Ybalai.
In the other 38-and-above division quarterfinal matches, AMG/Inchi repulsed Quick Silver, 89-82, while Wednesday Group demolished Prima Lord, 97-73. Ryan Dy posted a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards.
Wednesday Group, on the other hand, turned to Mar Reyes, who scored 19 points to power his squad to a one-sided triumph over Prima Lord to also make the semifinals of the 38-and-above group.
Sitel 2 upstaged sister team Sitel 1, 80-61, in the Corporate Division, to make it to the semifinal round.
Christian Aquino led the way for Sitel 2 with 19 markers, enabling the fifth seeded squad in earning a Final Four berth.
Just like Sitel 2, also advancing to the semifinal round is Team RL, which outlasted TDP Wolfpack, 91-85, in the Corporate Division. — Rey Joble
