Headline inflation rate in the Philippines as of April 2016

Prices of widely used goods rose at a steady pace at the start of the second quarter, providing the central bank a “soft transition” for the planned shift to an interest-rate corridor (IRC). In a report, the Philippine Statistics Authority said headline inflation in April stood at 1.1%, unchanged from the previous month but lower than the 2.2% in April of last year.
