DOING WELL IN THE PHILIPPINES
Fitbit said it is doing well in the country and sees the launch of the new products enhancing its good standing.

“I would say we are doing well in the Philippines and, thus, we are launching these new products here,” said Louis Lye, Fitbit regional lead for Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, in an interview with members of the media after the launch of the new products on April 10 at Kerry Sports at Shangri-La at the Fort in Taguig.

“Last year for Asia-Pacific our revenues were $146 million, we experienced a 27% year-on-year growth. We really saw a big growth in Asia-Pacific, which the Philippines is part of. I can’t share specific numbers for the Philippines right now but I can assure that the Philippines is a contributor in that growth,” he added.

The Fitbit official went on to say that the Philippines continues to figure in their plans moving forward and that they are excited to introduce new products, including the Fitbit Ace 2, which is for children age six and above, later this year.

“We are excited to continue introducing new products at different price points. We believe we have a compelling product proposition with these new products that will continue to increase the Fitbit consumer base in the Philippines,” Mr. Lye said.

The Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, Fitbit Inspire HR, and Fitbit Inspire are now available at Fitbit partner stores nationwide, including Digital Walker, Globe, R.O.X., Go Sport, Chimes Davao, Lazada, Shopee, and Zalora. — Michael Angelo S. Murillo
