THE traveling bit of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) — “NCAA on Tour” — makes its way to Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) today in Taft, Manila, that will see the Generals welcome the Perpetual Help Altas for a scheduled game set for 4 p.m.
Currently winless early in NCAA Season 94, the Generals (0-2) are angling to finally break through the win column in front of their fans at the expense of the Altas (1-1).
Recognizing that they have a tendency to taper off late in games, EAC coach Ariel Sison underscored the need for them to break such habit if they are to compete at a better footing.
“If you’ve noticed, we’ve always finished badly. Now if we could somehow find a way to finish big, we’ll have a chance,” said Mr. Sison heading into today’s game.
The Generals will continue to bank on the efforts of 6-9 Cameroonian Hamadou Laminou, who is leading the league in scoring with 24 points a game, while also hoping to get more from the rest of the team.
EAC is to face Perpetual Help, which is coming off a victory over the Letran Knights, 78-75, on July 13.
Leading the Altas is Edgar Charcos, who is second in the league in scoring with 20.5 points per game. — Michael Angelo S. Murillo
