SMART COMMUNICATIONS, Inc., the wireless arm of PLDT, Inc., said it is providing unlimited access to its Wi-Fi service in nearly 70 hospitals across the country, as the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise.

The free unlimited Smart Wi-Fi is available in Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Marikina Valley Medical Center, Philippine Orthopedic Center, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center, and De Los Santos Medical Center, the company said in a statement posted on its website.

The same service is offered in Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital, Muntinlupa CH People’s Center, Ospital ng Muntinlupa, Pasay City General Hospital, Ospital ng Parañaque, Novaliches District Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, San Juan Medical Center, and Fe Del Mundo Medical Center.

“We are helping to connect Filipinos amid the country’s renewed efforts to stem the spread of the virus,” said Jane J. Basas, senior vice-president and head of Consumer Wireless Business at Smart.

The free Wi-Fi is also available in Northern Luzon hospitals, including Central Luzon Doctors’ Hospital (Tarlac), Sacred Heart Hospital of Malolos, Inc., St. Louis University Hospital of the Sacred Heart (Benguet), Unihealth – Baypointe Hospital and Medical Center (Zambales), and Bulacan Medical Center.

Beneficiaries in Southern Luzon include Bacoor Doctors Medical Center, Emilio Aguinaldo College Medical Center – Cavite, Lipa Medix Medical Center, City Health Office of Binan, Ibaan Municipal Health Office, Carmona Municipal Health Office, Cavite Medical Center, CUBA Emergency Clinic (Laguna), Mary Mediatrix Medical Center (Batangas), and Lipa City District Hospital.

In Visayas, the service is offered in Adventist Medical Center – Bacolod, The Doctors’ Hospital – Bacolod, Riverside Medical Center, Inc. (Negros Occidental), University of Cebu Medical Center, Iloilo Mission Hospital, Ramiro Community Hospital (Bohol), Tacloban City Hospital, Adventist Hospital – Cebu, and Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, among others.

In Mindanao, the free Wi-Fi service can be accessed in Davao Doctors Hospital, West Metro Medical Center (Zamboanga del Sur), Southern Philippines Medical Center (Davao del Sur), St. Elizabeth Hospital, Inc. (South Cotabato), The Medical Plaza 1 (South Cotabato), and The Medical Plaza 2 (South Cotabato), among others.
