Senate employees undergo random drug test
The Senate on Monday, July 30, conducted an unannounced random drug test, with Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III and Senator Gregorio B. Honasan II leading the procedure.
Mr. Sotto made the announcement during the Senate’s flag ceremony, saying the drug test was in compliance with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) memorandum circular No. 13, s. 2017 requiring government agencies and offices to submit a regular report to the Dangerous Drugs Board on the conduct of drug tests and the number of personnel who tested positive, if any.
“We must set the example as the Senate,” the Senate leader said in his speech during the flag ceremony.
