WHILE Nespresso’s a wee bit late for the summer drinks game here in the Philippines (seeing as we’re already shielding ourselves from the rain), still the single-serve coffee machine company releases recipes every time the summer hits its Lausanne base.
“It’s a way for us to engage our customers and make them try new coffee blends, and try new recipes,” said Mia Silva, Marketing Manager for Novateur Coffee Concepts, the distributor of Nespresso machines and coffee capsules in the Philippines.
The launch of the new coffee recipes also served as a launch for the new Lattissima One, which comes with a new milk frother — Ms. Silva described it as “slimmer and nicer” — and to promote two new limited edition coffee flavors: Ispirazione Salentina, described in a press release as “a smooth and bold yet balanced brew”; and Ispirazione Shakerato, “a powerful brew that’s heightened by the dark and delicious aromas of cocoa, entice the taste buds and deliver an instant fix to your caffeine cravings.”
When asked about the pleasure of taking a blended drink at home instead of outside, Ms. Silva said, “At least now you don’t have to go out to take your own iced coffee.”
“It’s like you’re taking iced coffee straight out of an Italian restaurant.”
The new recipes (the Shakerato and the Salentina) were launched in BGC late last month.
The recipes are as follows:
