FRINGE MANILA again presents Art Battle Manila, an evening of creativity showcasing local painters competitively painting live at the Top Shelf of Fully Booked, BGC, on July 29.
In Art Battle, painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non-mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favorite painting and bids in a silent auction to take the work home.
Art Battle Manila is now part of Art Battle International, which happens in 50 cities worldwide.
Twelve artists are joining Art Battle Manila and more than 200 attendees are expected.
Doors open at 6 p.m.
