Galeria Duemila presents They Speak To You By Association, an exhibit featuring artists Felix Bacolor, Mariano Ching, RM de Leon, Jonathan Olazo, Yasmin Sison, and Trek Valdizno. It opens on Aug. 6, 4 p.m., and will run until Aug. 29. Galeria Duemila is located at 201 Loring Street, 1300 Pasay City.

Polarities by Lindslee and Donna Sy is on view at the Lobby Lounge Luxe of the Makati Shangri-La hotel from Aug. 3 to 15.
1335Mabini opens two exhibits on Aug. 6: Venture Capital by Poklong Anading, Carlos Celdran, Tad Ermitano, Miggy Inumerable, Martin Krenn, Manny Montelibano, and Mark Salvatus; and Human Nature by Mark Andy Garcia. Both run until Sept. 9.
Works of Japan’s leading contemporary printmaker, from the collection of Steven Co, are showcased in the exhibit titled The Diary of Tetsuya Noda: Steven Co Collection on view at the Ayala Museum until Aug. 28.
Letters from Manila, a group exhibit featuring local graffiti or street artists from Manila is ongoing until Aug. 6 at Gallery A of Secret Fresh. Also on view is a “Fixed Gear X Art” exhibition titled CHAINTEETHTENSION III.
The Cultural Center of the Philippines presents a solo exhibit of sculptures by Ryan Rubio titled Instinctual Creation which is ongoing until Sept. 11 at the Bulwagang Fernando Amorsolo. Also ongoing is the photo exhibit Myth by artists Jippy Pascua and Dennese Victoria, which is on view until Aug. 21 at the Pasilyo Victorio Edades.
Ana Verayo’s second solo exhibit titled Badlands is on view at Light and Space Contemporary until Oct. 1.
Artery Art Space presents When You’re Strange, a show by Romeo Lee, Carlo Ricafort, and Chill, on view until Aug. 6. The exhibit will feature paintings, drawings, and prints.
Silverlens Galleries has three exhibitions ongoing until Aug. 6: Survey by Isa Lorenzo, Rachel Rillo, Mawen Ong, and Soler Santos; Transference by Jet Pascua, and Who Are You Wearing by Yvonne Quisumbing.
The Metropolitan Museum of Manila presents Japanese Design Today 100 and Discourses in Design: Philippine-Japanese Cultural Linkages until Aug. 19. Meanwhile, Raymundo “Ray” Albano is the subject of A Time to Unlearn, at the Sphere section of the Met’s permanent exhibit Philippine Contemporary Art: To Scale the Past and the Possible.
A retrospective exhibition by renowned painter and sculptor Allan Cosio titled Three Periods of Art-Making is on view until Aug. 19 at the Alliance Total Gallery, Alliance Française de Manille.
Tin-aw Art Gallery presents Ernest Concepcion’s Can’t Sit Still.

Cinemalaya’s celebrates its 12th year with “Break the Surface” on Aug. 5-14 at the CCP Theaters in Pasay City, and Ayala Cinemas. Opening ceremonies will be on Aug. 5, 6 p.m., at the CCP Main Theater, admission is free but seats are on a first-come first-served basis. The opening film is 1-2-3 by Carlo Obispo. South Korean singer-songwriter DEAN will perform at the SM City North EDSA Skydome on Aug. 6, 5 p.m., to promote his debut EP entitled 130 Mood : TRBL, exclusively distributed by MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines). 130 Mood : TRBL is now available to download on Spinnr and iTunes or stream via Spotify and Apple Music. The CD will be available at the Astroplus selling booth on show day, Aug. 6.
