No more Senate sessions during ASEAN Summit due to lockdowns
SENATE PRESIDENT Aquilino L. Pimentel III yesterday said they have cancelled the plan to carry on with Senate sessions during the ASEAN Summit from Nov. 13-15 in consideration of the lockdowns that will be implemented in parts of the capital. “Security measures will be too tight hence better that the entire Senate cooperates with our security authorities,” Mr. Pimentel said. Meanwhile, Majority Leader Senator Vicente C. Sotto III said sessions for budget interpellations will push through on Nov. 16-17, budget amendments and passage on Nov. 20-22, while the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act (TRAIN) amendments and its possible passage will be tackled on Nov. 23-24. — Arjay L.
