
DITO Telecommunity Corp. Announced on Thursday that it expanded to 18 more areas.
DITO mobile services are available in 18 more areas “starting July 15,” the company said in a statement.
DITO is now commercially available in 158 cities and municipalities nationwide.
The new areas covered by DITO include Llanera and Santo Domingo in Nueva Ecija; Mangatarem, Basista, Binmaley, and San Manuel in Pangasinan; Ramos, Tarlac; Talisay, Mataas na Kahoy, Bauan, San Pascual, and Alitagtag in Batangas; Alfonso, Cavite; Kabankalan and Valladolid in Negros Occidental; Maco, Davao De Oro; and Trento and Bayugan in Agusan Del Sur.
“From now until Sept. 30, 2021, new and existing subscribers can avail of DITO’s 25 gigabyte of high-speed data for 30 days with unlimited texts to all networks, unlimited DITO-to-DITO calls, and 300 minutes of calls to other mobile networks for only P199,” DITO said.
DITO is targeting to complete 4,500 cell towers by December as part of its nationwide expansion.
It has built over 3,000 towers as of July 1.
DITO Telecommunity is currently capable of serving 37.48% of the country’s population based on the technical audit report by R.G. Manabat & Co.
It has a commitment to cover 84% of the population by the end of its fifth year of commercial operations.
The company has committed to invest over P250 billion to improve the telco industry in the country.
DITO spent P150 billion last year, and it targets to spend P26 billion more this year. — Arjay L. Balinbin
