The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday, March 6, rejected lawyer Oliver O. Lozano’s petition calling for the SC to declare void the appointment of Chief Justice Maria Lourdes P.A. Sereno.

In the same en banc session where the justices convened for the first time since their head took an indefinite leave, Ms. Sereno was ordered by the SC to respond within 15 days to a similar quo warranto petition filed last Monday by Solicitor General Jose C. Calida. — Dane Angelo M. Enerio
