DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION SUMMIT

International Data Corp. (IDC) is hosting the Digital Transformation (DX) Summit 2019 dubbed as the “Race to the Future Enterprise” in key cities across six continents. The Asia-Pacific regional summit is slated for Oct. 23-24 at the Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore.

National winners from Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand will vie for the IDC Asia-Pacific DX Awards. Their transformation projects were selected as part of over 1,000 high quality entries received from end-user organizations in the region.

IDC defines DX as an approach whereby organizations drive changes in their business models and ecosystems. This can be achieved by leveraging so-called third platform digital technologies and competencies such as cloud, big data/analytics, social media, and Internet of Things.

Now on its third year, IDC’s DX Awards honor the achievements of organizations that have successfully digitized one or more areas of their businesses through the application of digital and disruptive technologies. Selection criteria and award categories are aligned to reflect today’s most critical business transformation areas.

Representing our country as finalists in the regional summit are the following winners in their respective categories: Union Bank of the Philippines, digital transformer and operating model master; Angkas transport network, digital disruptor; Philippine Rice Research Institute, information visionary; Philippine Airlines, talent accelerator; AIDE mobile health platform, omni-experience innovator; and Maria Edita Elicano of Insular Life, DX leader.
