SUZUKI PHILIPPINES, INC. (SPH) broke ground on its Integrated Parts Warehouse, Service Training Center, and Office Facility located in Carmelray Industrial Park 1, Calamba, Laguna. In a release, SPH said this marks “a key milestone in the company’s continued expansion and long-term development in the Philippines.”
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by representatives from local government units, partner organizations, and project stakeholders including Rizal, Laguna Vice-Mayor Antonino Aurelio (representing Governor Sol Aragones), Executive Assistant Abel Landicho (representing Mayor Ross Rizal), Canlubang Barangay Captain Larry Dimayuga, Carmelray Group Managing Director Maria Rosario “Charrie” Yulo, Carmelray Group Director Ramon Z. Total project investment is approximately P900 million, “reinforcing Suzuki’s commitment to strengthening its after-sales operations, enhancing dealer network support, and improving organizational efficiency across its automobile, motorcycle, and marine businesses.” The facility will be a hub that integrates parts warehousing and distribution, technical training, and corporate office operations, and is designed “to improve inventory management and parts availability, accelerate service support for dealers nationwide, and provide a more streamlined working environment for sales, logistics, and administrative functions.”
Said SPH President Koichiro Hirao, “This groundbreaking ceremony symbolizes more than just a construction project but laying the foundation for the bright future of Suzuki in the Philippines. This project stands as a powerful reflection of our vision — our commitment to progress, innovation, and long-term growth; of strengthening our capabilities, expanding our reach, and creating greater value.”
More than operational enhancements, the project is also expected to enhance economic activity and community development in the CALABARZON region for employment opportunities and the support of local industries and surrounding communities.
“It represents new opportunities for jobs, for local businesses and for the community that surrounds us. It contributes to economic activity, supports livelihoods and helps build a stronger, more resilient environment where progress can be shared by many,” Mr. Hirao added. “Even in times of uncertainty, we remain committed to growth, to development, and to build something meaningful for the future,” he added.
Construction is scheduled to begin in May, with operations expected to commence by August 2027.
