THE DEPARTMENT of Justice (DoJ) has ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to conduct a probe on the killing of Vice Mayor Charlie R. Yuson III of Batuan town in Masbate. Department Order No. 564, issued on Oct. 18, directs the NBI to conduct an “investigation and case build-up” on the Oct. 9 killing. “Director (Dante A.) Gierran is directed to submit reports on the progress of the subject of investigation and case build-up directly to the Office of the Secretary,” the order read. Mr. Yuson was shot while having breakfast at an eatery in Sampaloc, Manila. — Charmaine A. Tadalan
