CHINESE technology company Vivo has innovated its design, AI and camera features with the release of the Vivo V15 Pro.
The V15 Pro features a 32MP elevating front camera, 48MP AI triple camera, in-display fingerprint scanning, and AI-powered performance.
“Vivo is like a very fun-loving millennial that’s not afraid to take risks and make sure that it brings something to the table,” Vivo Philippines Brand Manager Ian Jocson told BusinessWorld after the phone’s launch on March 20 at Shangri-la The Fort in BGC, Taguig.
“For Vivo, we’re known for having first in the industry technology,” he added, citing examples such as Vivo X21 (X series) which came with the first in-display fingerprint scan technology and the elevating selfie camera of the Vivo Nex (Nex series).
WHAT’S IN STORE
The V15 Pro has upgraded its elevating front camera, which was first featured in the Vivo Nex, with a higher resolution of 32MP to achieve clarity. The camera has a Super AMOLED Ultra FullView™ Display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and its side and top bezels reduced to 1.75mm and 2.2mm.
Its AI triple camera also has a 48 million quad-pixel sensor, 8MP AI super wide-angle camera, and 5MP depth camera.
Its “four-in-one pixel” technology in the main rear camera combines four pixels into one large pixel at 12MP photos even in the dark. Meanwhile, the AI Super Wide-Angle Camera can expand up to 120 degrees which captures more people and a fuller landscape.
It also includes AI Face Beauty, AI Body Shaping allowing users to adjust their waist and legs, and AI Portrait Framing, and AI Super Night Mode which allows users to take multiple photos at different exposures.
Vivo has also upgraded the Game Mode 5.0. The new Competition Mode feature prioritizes game performance while in use without distractions from notifications.
The phone also has an upgraded in-display fingerprint scanning technology with a higher fingerprint pixel density.
“Instead of just looking at what we have done previously, we are basing all our innovations and improvements on our market. It’s deeply ingrained into our philosophy that we’re a very consumer-centric brand, so through extensive market research and product testing, we make sure that the brand is able to address a specific need whether released or not,” Mr. Jocson said.
“It’s not about following a trend. It’s more of addressing a need that we find in the market.”
