THE number of jobless Filipinos last January dropped to a 10-year low. Based on the preliminary results of the latest quarterly Labor Force Survey (LFS) of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the unemployment rate fell to 5.8% from 6.6% in January of last year, thinning the ranks of the jobless to 2.469 million.
