DMCI HOLDINGS, INC. said its property unit DMCI Homes would introduce features commonly found in its Metro Manila developments to its first major high-rise condominium project in Cebu as it expands outside the capital.
Kalea Heights in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City will use its proprietary Lumiventt Design Technology, which allows natural airflow and lighting in residential towers through open spaces, breezeways, sky patios and central atriums, DMCI Homes said in a post on its website on Thursday.
It said the design aims to reduce heat buildup and improve ventilation while lowering reliance on artificial lighting during the day.
The 46,348-square-meter development will dedicate 3.6 hectares of its 4.6-hectare property to open spaces, including parks, trails and communal areas.
The company said this would be the biggest open-space allocation among condominium developments in Cebu and across all DMCI Homes projects.
Kalea Heights is expected to involve total investments of P24 billion. The first phase will include about 600 units under a 41-storey tower named Leia.
Units will range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom configurations, with prices estimated at P5.6 million to P13.4 million.
Turnover is expected to begin by December 2029. — Juliana Chloe A. Gonzales
