THE Interior and Local Government department will announce next week whether Metro Manila cities have complied with road clearing operations, Undersecretary Epimaco V. Densing III told reporters yesterday.

“Secretary Año himself will announce the results of our evaluations and validations within next week,” he said.

Metro Manila mayors said that they fully complied with the road clearing operations set by the agency upon the order of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

The mayors said 17 local government units in the National Capital Region would pass the assessments.

Pasig City Mayor Victor Ma. Regis N. Sotto earlier told reporters they would continuously check whether public roads have remained clear. The task will also fall on village officials, he said. — Marc Wyxzel C. Dela Paz
