The Author’s Hour

AS part of the ongoing exhibit called Tumba-Tumba Children’s Museum of Philippine Art: A Proof of Concept Exhibit at the UP Vargas Museum, The Author’s Hour will be held on July 7 at 10 a.m. This is the first of a series of talks featuring the authors of the newly launched children’s books from Center for Art, New Ventures & Sustainable Development (CANVAS). This Saturday it is the turn of Eugene Evasco, author of Ang Aklatang Pusa, about a retired librarian who, instead of cataloguing books, catalogs cats. There will also be two mini-talks about cats — how one person’s life changed because of her cat, and some tips and instructions on how to take that perfect picture to “cattify” one’s social media. There will also be a book reading by a fast-rising young storyteller for kids. The exhibit runs until July 27 at the first and third floors of the Vargas Museum.
