The updated version of the iconic Nokia 3310 was the top-selling phone during Father’s day season last year, local e-commerce site Argomall ( said in its latest consumer data report.
Argomall, which is operated by Filipino-owned conglomerate Transnational Diversified Group, tracked the activity and behavior of its online shoppers during father’s day season (June 1-30) and it showed the top handsets that consumers bought.
The report showed that the 2017 version of the Nokia 3310 accounted for 63% of all phones sold from June 1-30. Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus got 3% share, while iPhone 7 and Samsung J2 Prime had 2% of the sales pie.
Argomall’s report also found that consumers, based on their purchases, considered these factors when buying a phone: 1) They wanted a screen size with at least 5.5 inches; 2) A great front-facing camera to take selfies; 3) big RAM for speed, storage for photos, videos, and other files; 4) the OS version is also valued by consumers as fans of Apple and Android looked for the most recent versions such as iOS 10 and Android Nougat.
