No dozing off for Ballet Manila as it readies for Sleeping...

THREE MONTHS after a fire ravaged the Star City complex destroying the Aliw and Star Theaters which was Ballet Manila’s home in the process, the dance company continues undaunted with the rest of the performances in its 24th season.

SHORTLY PAST midnight on Oct. 2, the Star City Complex in Pasay City caught fire. Aside from the amusement park’s rides, the inferno, which lasted for 14 hours, also consumed the Aliw Theater — the home of Ballet Manila for nearly 20 years.
